The better you outline the edges, the higher the chances of getting a better selection around your subject. In my experience, you’d really want to be careful when using the blue brush. And outline the edges of your subject with blue. To indicate what you want to cut out, fill it with red. You can tell what regions you want to keep by painting it green. So, for example, if you upgrade to version n and they bring out a major new n+1 release eight months later, you'll get that as part of your subscription. When you buy an upgrade with Topaz, you will actually be buying a 12 month subscription for updates, rather than a particular major release. They have basically gone to the normal perpetual license model, or am I missing something?
After August, you will have the option of buying an annual subscription for updates. Yes, and it was discussed at length in this forum.
But did Topaz actually say that they were stopping free updates? I've always had great luck with Topaz products. I, for one, am not willing to shell out more money to be an alpha tester. We can only hope that when Topaz shuts off free updates in August that their software will at least be usable.
